From Military Friendly to Thriving: Taking A Workforce Transition Alliance to the Next Level for Active-Duty Military, Military Spouses, and Veterans

Northern Virginia is home to tens of thousands to military families stationed at multiple installations in the region, with the majority living in our communities. To advance the region’s designation as a Great American Defense Community and move the region from a military-friendly to military-thriving destination, the community, military, and federal facility partnership of Northern Virginia has expanded its Total Military Community Alliance (TMCA) to maximize employment outcomes through public and private sector collaboration. This session will provide an overview of TMCA’s operations, accomplishments, and future plans to maximize employment outcomes transitioning military, military spouses, and veterans.
