Finding Funding and Other Support for Installation and Community Partnerships
Steinbeck 2
Reductions in military installation staff and declines in installation funding make partnerships between communities and installations critical for installations’ ability to conduct their missions and to enhance their lethality and readiness. At the same time there have been major declines in federal funding for community infrastructure investments (e.g., road and utility upgrades and natural hazard mitigation) which are used to help develop and improve community and installation resilience through partnerships. Given these challenges this session discusses current funding and other support to help develop and implement installation and community partnerships. Existing funding opportunities from DoD, other federal agencies, state and local governments, and the private sector will be explained.
