The City of Yuma, AZ has committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our military-connected students. By recognizing their unique experiences and challenges, Yuma aims to provide resources, stability, and a strong sense of community to help them thrive academically. Through unique programs like the Purple Star Schools and Dandelion Club, Yuma Elementary School District #1 has created a nationally recognized education and support system for military connected children that can serve as model for other defense communities.
